Answer ( 1 )

  1.

    Solution: Raj’s starting position  Xi= 0.

    His final position Xf is the distance travelled to North minus the distance to South i.e. (250 N – 105 S)=145 N .

    We need to calculate the displacement, i.e. D

    We know that,

    Displacement is defined as the change in position of an object

    D = ΔX =Final Position – Initial Position =  (Xf – Xi)

    D = 145 N – 0

    D = 145 mi N
